Hi Ken- Congrats on a great looking plane
Question-the Jimco voltage regulator- what alternators are compatable-I was planning on using the Yanmar front mounting.
Also- do you have a secret on how to get WW to ship a long overdo order?

Thanks - Fred Schutt

I also meant to ask what you painted your panel with. I like the contrast of dark gray and white.

They have opened LGMG Megara for General Aviation.Believe it or not it is the only General Aviation airport in Athens.Seaplanes were not allowed till a few years ago a company called AirSealines started operations. But still private flying in Greece is not really welcomed by the authorities.

Good luck with your project.

Two Years and Counting...

Posted on April 13, 2016 at 7:30am 5 Comments

Sunday,  April 10 2016 marked the second year anniversary of the first flight of my 601.  The celebratory flight on Sunday ticked the Hobbs to 400.6 hours. In two years, from my home base in the northeast,  I've had my 601 as far west as Oshkosh and as far south as South Carolina.  I still have a big grin on my face after every flight!

The airframe and engine have performed well and I couldn't be happier.  To those of you in the building process I say keep at it and do…

Flight to Oshkosh 7/25/2014

Posted on July 27, 2014 at 7:45am 5 Comments

I had a very enjoyable flight to KOSH last Friday. This my 601's first time at Oshkosh. I'm happy with the plane's performance. I was able to bring everything I needed for camping and carried plenty of fuel for a maximum of 3 hour legs with reserves. The route was KGON KIPT KAKR KVPZ RIPON FISKE KOSH. I was given a choice of 27 or 18 at KOSH. I chose runway 18 being that last year I was assigned 27. A video of the approach and landing is forthcoming.

The flight stats… Continue
