Today the man from the FAA came and spent 45 minutes writing me up an Airworthy Certificate. I then took to the skies for a short First Flight! Exciting! Last week I spent time at FlyBuzzAir and got GREAT training that made the First Flight successful. Cant say enough about the quality of his training! Jon, Outstanding. Great looking airplane. Chuck D. N701TX
Way to go Jon. What's next? :)
Nice!
Thanks for the nice comments!
I re-pitched the prop to get it within specs. Some preliminary figures here - for the purpose of first impressions: At 75% power (2500 RPM) was getting 95 mph indicated (MGL and mechanical gauge agree) and at WOT was seeing about 105 mph. These numbers are not validated with any calibration - but are for general info.
Happy to see Cyl head temps under 400, but oil temp is almost 200 so I need to address that (OAT was 73 degrees) May need an oil cooler for summer flying... will learn more during Phase 1
Way to go Jon! Love the decal!!
