I had the pleasure of meeting with Chris once at the Zenith facility in Canada. What a kind and gracious man he was. I am grateful to have met the man who was responsible for the great design of the 750 STOL that I built.
I am so sad to hear this. Chris was a wonderful man, a brilliant aircraft designer and a good friend. He helped my realize a dream in the 1970s when he developed and helped me build the CH180 Super Acro Zenith. Many happy hours were spent with him in his Nobleton, Ontario workshop. My sincere condolences to Sebastian and his family.
My condolences to your family. Celebrate a life well lived and loved.
The sad passing of this genius aeronautical Engineer has touched so many people around the world. Most people know Chris as the designer of the Zenith family of aircraft in the experimental aviation category.
His sons have continued his legacy and will remember him as a loving father, grand dad, and husband to his wife.
My heart goes out to his family and I thank you for the design of my Zenith Cruiser which I am currently building.
Sympathy and prayers to the Heintz family.
Talented in so many aspects of aviation, he truly was a pioneer in spreading the popularity of experimental aviation and we all are so privileged to be the recipients of his efforts.
Thank you, Chris, blue skies forever.
