Bruce, How many hours on the engine at this time? From what I've learned from others w/ the 0-200 on the 750, most have solved their oil temp issues with the oil tray baffle. I've put one on mine as well. I'll be flying soon and have to break this engine in also. Wishfull thinking won't solve the problem but I was hoping to avoid the need for an oil cooler. If I have to I will. Good luck, & please keep me posted. My email is jdy100@comcast.net, & I'd like to stay in touch with you on this. Thanks - Jim

I used the original data point as I started with the slats. Didnt re-figure CG. My CG was 2 mm inside the forward point. The slats weighted 13 lbs. I had talked to 701 pilots in my area and one had removed his slats with no problem. So I took mine off and flew it, no problems. Then I ordered my VG's from just stol in Austrialia and put them on. The plane handles al;ot better. Put the slats back on after 45 hours with no slats and I didn't like it so took them off again an will never put them on again. I need to be going 65 to 70 mph to get the nose up nice in the flare. I have a O-200 and the battery is on the firewall, makes me a little nose heavy but the VG's seem to help because of the less drag. My friend Frank moved is battery aft of the belly access and he now flares with no problem. I'm currently playing with adding different weighs in the baggage compartment to make mine kinder in the flare.

Bruce; I'm just going with gravity like the plans. I've got 30 plus hours with no problems so far except heating.

I'm not sure what you mean, Bruce. I never said an Experimental amateur built doesn't qualify for LSA. Mine will once it is built. It has to, since I will only have a Sport Pilot certificate. It might help if you tell me what comment you are referring to.
