Header Tank Air

Hello Everybody!  I am doing a little research on header tank venting ( no vent, one vent, two vents, etc.) and was wondering if anybody has any information as to how much air actually accumulates in a header tank during a "normal" ( i.e. mostly straight & level with some banking turns) flight.Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks!See More

Viking 110 Air Filter

Hello Viking 110 Users:  I am trying to replace the air filter on my 110 and can't find a replacement which will fit.  Jan is out of them. Alissa suggested a K&N which I tried, but it came out a little too large to fit. I spent several hours on the internet searching, including some with angled flanges to no avail.  Has anybody replaced their air filter sucessfully, and if so, could they advise me as to what filter they used or how they did it.  Thanks!See More

Hi Everyone!  I'm on my second fuselage build (the first one was a "poor" build) and just installed a Viking Header Tank.

I used 1"x1"x1/16" angle (aircraft spruce) to replace the L's on the fuselage sides and bottom and added

one at the fuselage top behind the baggage angle to construct a rectangular frame.  I used the same material to make two…

Thank you Frank. Have you painted yours yet, or are you leaving them natural? Rob

Hi Frank,

Looks like you are a bit ahead of me on the float build....I am in no rush, so it will take a while. What stage is you Plane at?? Is it flying?? or are you building the plane and floats at the same time?

Regards,

Walt Cannon
