Smooth Airflow to Bing Car

I have a Zenith 750 Cruzer with a 4th Gen Jabiru 3300 with a Bing carb.  Yesterday I discovered significant "kinks" in the scat tubing I used to connect the carb air horn to the filter/carb heat box.  I understand that it is important to have smooth non-turbulent airflow through this tube, preferably with a 5-6" straight run before the carb. That's hard to achieve with the proximity of the nose gear strut.  Has anyone found a better way to do this than with scat tubing?See More

I saw the pics of your completed Cruzer, and I REALLY like the paint scheme. It looks clean and elegant without being overdone.

I also like that it appears to be fairly simple in nature - - - - this assumes that the white was painted and the colors were vinyl graphics.

They say that imitation is the best form of flattery.....and if you wouldn't object I may do something very similar with the 750 STOL I am finishing up.

Would prob make minor changes as to the specific colors (the blue), but would be quite similar in nature.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come up with the sizing and the creation of the stripes (template, pre-made, etc)? Who did the vinyl cutting (assuming it is vinyl)?

Was it difficult to apply (any tips/tricks)?

Again, yours looks awesome - and I thank you in advance for any info you could offer so that I can achieve similar great results with mine.
