Fuel Design: Risk of sucking air from one tank while in a steep turn

There are several solutions to prevent a fuel system from sucking air from a fuel tank while in a steep turn when the fuel level is low. This has been a hot debate on other forums.I am curious to hear from folks who are actually flying their planes on which design you use to address this risk. 1) Header tanks?2) Check valves?3) Limit fuel selector valve to only use R or L tank but not both?4) None, I use "both" on my selector valve and do not have a header tank and have not had any…See More

using leaded fuel with O2 sensor

While this is not necessarily unique to Viking engines I thought it would be as good a place as any of the forums to ask the following questions.Since most newer automotive engine systems use O2 sensors and knowing that leaded fuel fouls O2 sensors, (given that we will occasionally have to use leaded fuel) I would be curious to know:1) How long (hours) before the O2 sensor goes bad?2) What are the signs that the sensor is going bad?3) Is you experience based on the narrow band sensor or the…See More

They look at the coordinates and verify that it wont be a navigation hazard to other airports and such. The only issue I did have was with the lady who made the initial contact via phone, she obviously didn't want to deal with it. I used the garmin in the plane for the lat long coordinates and she was pretty rude about that, wasn't acceptable to her and pretty much called me a dumbass. She changed the numbers to what she said they should be, rounded them off, and now the field shows up across the river a few hundred yards away but its no big deal. I still have the forms and paperwork so when you get ready I'll dig them out so you'll know what you need.
