I'm almost done with the empennage, but here's how my rudder build went back before the apocalypse:

I'm moving, and the wife and I have decided that the time has come to sell the stalled project (stalled, as evidenced by the fact that I haven't posted here for years prior to today). 49% quickbuild from QSP with Viking HF-110 engine and warp prop, and basically every Dynon option they make (including 10" Skyview, radio, intercom, transponder, ADS-B in/out, 2x autopilot servos). About 98% of everything you need to get in the air, minus paint, interior, and bolts. Engine runs like a swiss…

Fit fuel tank with cork.
Drilled holes in leading edge for vent and drain
Drilled hole for finger screen attachment in nr#3
(Note) previously installed fuel level indicators, sealed with b2 sealant, and added ground wiring on both standard range tanks)

N601LL is 100 hours now and only remaining item was needing some up elevator trim for level flight and not enough up trim for a proper flaps down engine out glide. The incidence of both wing and stab were good but as it does take quite some force to lift the elevator I decided to try a simple fix. I put an eye hook on stab, drilled a hole in elevator horn and installed s-hook there. Then connecting the two using #64 rubber bands discovered that nine was a good…

Just completed TOH on my Zodiac with 3300 Jaburi. Actually, this is 2nd toh. Did an early service to correct stuck rings cause by Bing carb & poor oiling system. Corrected with throttle body carb with mixture control.
Recent service was due to burned exhaust valve. Added double ring kit, too. Run in numbers are great.
Anyone changed their rear wing mount plates to reduce drag in cruise?
Finally able to make some progress. Cut out rudder skins, and rear ribs. Still need to cut out rudder spar, nose rib and bottom rib.

I wish Zenith allowed you to create your own model number on this site instead of using a drop down list. I got my 750 STOL kit before they introduced the Cruzer, which kind of met my needs and desires better than the STOL. Unfortunately there's no way to convert one to another, and I can't afford to buy another kit. I am making changes to 'Cruzer-ize' my plane, mainly not installing the leading edge slats. I may consider other things like wheel pants as well, but I haven't really decided…

On my 650 I have an 0200A with 2 inline faucets pumps. On one pump I get about 5 PSI of pressure. On 2 pumps I get more than double that. I read that normal pressure should be between 3.5-4.75 PSI in the Continental book. Is there any risks I blow something in the carburettor at that higher pressure? Anyone else using this config?

Like everyone else, Zenith Aircraft Company has been impacted by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. While the Zenith Aircraft kit factory is located in a fairly rural area and there have been no reported cases of the coronavirus in the immediate area, the response to this pandemic needs to be widespread and is affecting all of us. For the past few weeks…

CH650B W&B Question. On the W&B calc sheet, a note puts the Datum line at Station 1790 mm. along the leading edge of the wings. To my knowledge, Station line 0 should be the aircraft centre line. Or should I measure this from the side of the fuse? Ideas?
