Making the C75W7-6 root top skin angles. The drawings has 2 pictures with them. On one picture they are straight. On the other picture they are curved.
Zenith says they should be curved.

Cut the C75W6-5 Wing Root Angle in two. Bent using a flute pliers.
Making the correct nose angle was the most difficult.
Made a 40x80 extender which goes toward the trailing edge.
Used a strap duplicator to drill holes in the root wing angle and not to enlarge the existing holes in the skin and the rib.…

The the C75W3-5 Wing Root Angle is incorrect. May be Zenith will send me a new part.
The kit has incorrect the spar root angle. The drawing says the flange should be 25mm wide. Mine is 20mm. The predrilled holes in the root skin are too close to the edge. Zenith is thinking how to fix it.…

September 26 2023.
Clecoed the top and the front skins of the right wing. Used ratcheted straps as the assembly manual says. Tried to do it by hand but failed.

I finished building the workbenches for my CH750 Cruzer project.
I built two of them – 8’ L x 4’ W x 34” H – that can be bolted together end-to-end for a total length of 16 feet. I took a hint from EAA’s Charlie Becker, and put flip up/down casters on each such that the benches are easily rolled around on the concrete garage floor, either when separated, or bolted together.
Just a few more items to procure, and a few more tasks to perform, and I can finally…

Last weekend, on September 7 and 8, the nationwide meeting of UL 2024 pilots took place at the Łomża Jeziorko landing site in Poland. After the conference part, in the afternoon, it was time for practical flying activities. A gate was prepared at the landing site and anyone willing could demonstrate their piloting skills. The pilot's task was to fly through the gate marked out by foil tapes raised on poles and not to break any of the tapes when flying between and below the tapes.
The…

I picked up the kit from the local shipping terminal on December 23 (Merry Christmas, indeed!)
The reserved 16’ Penske rental truck was unavailable, so I was provided a 22’ version at the same pricing. My son drove the truck down and back without incident, and I had four members from the local EAA Chapter 309 to assist with the offloading.
We were able to slide the roughly 14’x4’x2’, 825 pound crate down the truck’s ramp onto two furniture dollies, and push/roll it…

I recently flew down to Robinson (8I1) an unpaved public uses airstrip along the Ohio River in southern Indiana. Nothing special, but another addition to the places I have landed with my CH750 STOL. There is a short YouTube video Pirep at Robinson (8I1) video Pirep …

There seems to be an issue with the bubble doors having a large gap at the forward lower corner and a gap at the rear edge. The door fits fine on the lower flange aft of the door handle. Has anyone got a fix for this? I looked at Zeniths secondary latch and it won't fix this problem as the lower portion of the door aft of the handle fits tight against the fuselage.…

Any Cruzer builders having issues with outdated drawings? It was redesigned a couple of years ago to make it conform to much of the Super Duty model but the drawings I paid for are woefully outdated. I have to jump between the STOL, SD and Cruzer drawings to try to figure out the building sequence. All three models have some commonality, but you have to figure out for yourself what applies and what doesn't. Additionally, my pick list was also outdated and I make almost weekly calls to Mexico…
