I am waiting on some aluminum to start on my fuselage, so in the mean time I am planning on tackling bending the upper front longerons. Do you guys think I should wait until I have more of the fuselage done before I do this, or is it OK to tackle this right now?
Also, I have been hearing from some non-builder types that tell me that I could crack the longerons when doing this. Has anyone had this problem?

Found this technique for hydroforming on the EAA video "how to" site.Works pretty good!
I decided I need to put drain holes in the skin under the fuel pump area. These scuppers will go over the drain holes.

I have a row of rivets to measure out. The plans inform A5 with a 20mm pitch, and do not specify how many rivets in the row. I figure that (5/32) *3 = 15/32. So, I marked my first two rivets at both ends of my L stiffener at 15/32 from the short and long edge. Then, I measured out the distance in mm between the two marks and came up with a number that does not fall on a perfect 20 mm spacing. Here is my idea for an economy AOA pitot. I added the second tube to the Zenith supplied pitot.
My alum welding leaves a bit to be desired....I will sand down the big lumps prior to installing.

Decided to try a naca inlet for the oil cooler. I will keep a close eye on oil temps as I move into testing.
