CH 750 STOL Rudder Kit - Anybody Looking for One?

I have a "new in box" CH 750 STOL Rudder kit I need to unload.

I bought it from ZAC in 2015 at Oshkosh; then had second thoughts about STOL versus Cruzer, and ultimately switched to the Cruzer, which I'm presently building. It's in its original crate and has never been opened.

I'm planning to bring this with me to Oshkosh in a few weeks. If anyone is interested please let me know. Thanks!

Error repaired

Learned today that I should not trust anything, esp. myself.  Had to remove the nose skin on the rudder as I had incorrectly tucked it under the rear skin when it should have been installed on top.  I have a new skill, rivet removing! Getting real good at…

Since the Air in the Hawaiian islands contains high contents of salt and sulfur dioxide I decided to cortec  the inside skins as well as a complete skeleton.

Hi guys,

Completed the Rudder on Saturday, June 22nd.  A good learning experience.  I had to remove my first bad rivet due to a gap at the head.  Sweated that out since it was one of the last rivets installed prior to completion.  However, it went well and no damage to the skin.  It was on the nose rib, forward skin so I didn't have to chase the rivet inside the rudder.  Viewed the online video of the rudder build at the factory and I understand now why this kit will be a bit…

CH601 HD unboxing day

The crate arrived today after a couple of adventures.  Zenith shipped on May 24th and shortly thereafter the weather turned horrible.  I got a notice of a 'weather delay' on my crate and waited to hear if it went flying without me.  However, it arrived in NH on 06/01, and my house on 6/04.  The second worry was the forklift puncture at the water line of the crate.  (See photo).  The fork did travel into the crate however, the only damage was a destroyed corner of the packing list envelope…

Cruzer-full flap landing practice & scenic flight

https://youtu.be/7iKZIRBEhdc
Cruzer circuit practice with full flap landings, plus coastal scenery flight; Fleureiu Peninsula, South Australia, at 8x speed, no music - 8 min/fast video. Last landing with half flaps and side slipped. Camera beneath the plane. For fellow Builders - keep going - a very forgiving plane, not fast.

Keeping Parts Organized

One thing that has often been a problem is trying to keep parts from getting lost as they wait to be added to larger assemblies. While I am scatchbuilding, the problem is no doubt worse for someone building from a kit because they get all their parts at once.

Something that has recently been quite useful for me is to use mini-stretch wrap.…
