Dynon's EFIS-D100 is one of the most affordable large screen Electronic Flight Information Systems on the market today. I have a EFIS D-10A ( the smaller version) and it has worked flawlessly since installation in 2006. I really prefer it to the standard six pack pluse it does several other functions such as a full two axis AP should I decide to add two servos.
Their offerings since I purchased my system just keep getting better with an upgrade path for earlier customers. Definitely receives a recommendation from me.

I have the D180 in my CH750. It is really slick and works flawless. I have the battery backup installed. This battery pack must be purchased as an option and is continually charged while flying your aircraft, it is supposed to supply 2 hrs flight time on total electrical failure...I have not tested battery life. Excellent product.

Does everyone have the Battery back up? I would have thought it would normally have an internal battery to keep the clock running ? or are there two Batteries fitted? Also is there a shelf life for the back up battery.. Better to buy just before test flight?

I have a D100 and a D120, and have a little over 100 hours on them. The D100 has worked great with no problems. I recently had an issue with the D120 where it wouldn't boot up. I had to send it back to Dynon where they had to replaced the main board. No charge to me, but a little inconvenience due to the plane being down for 2 weeks (most of it shipping the unit to Dynon and back). Overall I'm happy with my Dynons and would recommend them to others.

I have a D100 with OAT hooked up to a Garmin 196 and 2 servos. I have 250 hrs in the last 2 yrs and every thing works fine, It was easy to install and have performed as advertised and the auto pilot works great. I have just ordered a new unit for the CH 750 currently being built, I plan to fit the auto pilot early next year also.

have almost 900 hours on a D180 which is roughly equivalent to a D100 and D120 in a single unit. It has never failed me. It provides a tremendous amount of information in a small package. I recommend it without reservation and would buy another. On the other hand, Dynon's new Skyview system looks way cool so I might go that way if I were building today.

Love it so far. For some reason it would not boot up one day and I had to send it back to Dynon... That was a bummer, but what was refreshing was their approach. No hassles, just send it in with an RMA and get it back in week. Their customer service rocks, and that's important in my book. The install is as easy as it gets, and the product seems to be pretty robust. I think my issue was just a fluke. Battery back up is cool too.
