1. Back at it after a two years away form the project
    Skinned the horiz stab.
plans building, so I oversized the skin to start
Will trim and clean up skin once removed for deburring and priming of mating surfaces

Had a bit of runout on the forward spar top rivet line. (2.5 mm)

Checked the zenith construction manual
Will run a staggered rivet line with same pitch in the affected area ( this time along the center of the spar flange )
Any tips or techniques for getting the rivet lines exact on center? No predrilled holes when plans building.

Never perfect, but use Starrett 18-A automatic punch set on low impact then use #40 drill first. Need to keep an eye  out that the drill bit does not wander even with the latter. Of course use a CL gadget for narrow pieces and a nice long steel rule to mark CL on skin rivet lines. In my opinion automatic punch is a must for rivet removal, particularly A5 rivets.
