Hi All,

When my wife and I first visited ZAC years back, Shirley suggested me to buy the pneumatic riveter. I did not need one, I believed. Simple hand riveter should be OK with me. I would not do too much building/re-building anyway, since I'd rather be flying!

Now, after long years of hand pulling rivets, many times way too many in one building session, I got deformed index and middle fingers. My hand pulling 1/8" stainless steel rivets (at any one time) to make flush riveted skin have probably done the most damage. It has also caused me 'tennis elbow' pain a couple times.

Shirley, I should have listened to you more carefully!

I think "Cleco Hands" is another possible issue for homebuilders.  I try and switch hands regularly on the cleco pliers.

Yaw Obruni, Many said CH750 kit is easier to build. I think it is too big for the budget (but the main gear track is narrower?).

All, DO NOT hand-pull too many rivets in one session! It is bad for your health.

You need to hold the hand riveter in a more creative manner to correct this.... you simply have to build a CH750 now!

Yes, I was going to be a big boy, with a big ego, I was going to hand rivit my build. I hand rivited one wing. then noticed my hands were overstressed. So got an air pneumatic riveter. Between riviting and drilling I got elbow tendinitus. Now I use my left hand for most of the drilling, I only hand rivit the small rivits. I am almost done so I survived with minimal damage.
