It seems to me I read somewhere that the Nose gear tube length (height) changed for the 650 vs. the 601 or at some point there was a change.

Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Thanks for your help!

FYI, after I close my LH wing up this week, I can now call my 601XL a 601XLB.

Wasnt that fun!

Glad the rebuild is over and now I am off to finishing and maybe hearing it run this fall.

Again, thanks for your help!

Rich

hi richard; I tried to send a response to your question of differences of nose gear length from 601xl to 650 but for some reason it did not get out, I will try again.  the 601xlb has a length of 795mm the 650 is 836mm in length. The Main spring gear is also somewhat diffrent  also.   thebend angles are 53 degrees & 43 degrees on the 601xl, the 650 has a bend of 46 degrees at the bottom and 52 degrees at the fuse.  the result of these changes are a little heigth increase and some narrower distance between the mains.
