Walt, yes, definitely interested to see your panel. I'm still very much sold on the MGL product line.

Hey Walt,

Great to hear you are making good progress on your build. I for one would really like to see your panel layout. I am (was?) going to use the Odyssey, V6 and ? transponder. When I laid it out, I could not decide whether or not to put it in the middle of the panel or keep it left as far as possible. I think seeing one would tell the tale for me.

Having said that, I am probably a year from ordering so now I might wait for the iBox/iEFIS. I really like the numeric keypad feature of the Odyssey series MGLs though.

I don't have any advice to offer, but just wanted to say that it is neat to read about people using the MGL products. From the beginning I've said I want to use the Voyager in my 750 and all I hear is that Dynon is the only worthwhile solution. Great to hear that it really is not.

I can tell you my experiences.

 the wiring is pretty straight forward, kind of nice with the RADAC

i put one in a Sonex and it was one of the earlier ones

 it worked for about 10hours  then locked up all the time , I did all the troubleshooting they called for than then they finally said just send it back , they did fix it . The owner  and i didnt trust it and they SOLD us the new version, they didnt replace the unstrustable unit they sold us one at cost!!

well that newer on has been working good ,but it losses signal with the RADAC all the time , very frustrating!!

 

well this last year i finished up a 601 with the new version enigma,it has worked fine for about 35 hours now that has been locking up

also the 601 has a 3300 and of course 2 tanks , the screen does not come with 2 tanks!! now i have been spending a lot of time to redesign a screen that works with both fuel tank senders

the owner bought a fuel pressure sender and i have bene having trouble getting it to recognize that!!

also it will not recognize the autopilot now!

just my fun with it!!

or just get a Dynon
