Demonstrating a Pneumatic Flanging Tool on a Zenith CH-750 custom designed wing nose rib

I was wondering what nose rib you decided on??
The plastic is actually UHMW, however is similar to HDPE. If I were to make them again I would try Delrin, the UHMW is VERY easy to catch on the lathe tooling.
The dies were made from High-density polyethylene. A common household usage for HDPE is Cutting boards. The dies were turned on a lathe by Jesse Hartmann who is also plans building a Zenith CH-750. That's Jesse in the video. I'm holding the camera.
Are the flanging dies made from plastic? Did you do those yourself an a lathe?
Neat tool......
The flanges seem to work just perfectly. Very handy press too!
AAAWWWWW thanks Timothy.
Jesse is very handy. I don't think I would have gone plans only without him in the neighborhood.
I don't know. My fellow plans only builder Jesse Hartman made it. He said he spent $30 for the pneumatic cylinder on ebay. The rest was probably from purchased steel.
