Brad, Bob's idea worked on the old style bearing but not the new one. I removed the rivets, inserted the torque tube, then moved the bearing until the tube moved freely. I clamped the bearing and re drilled holes for rivets. I also added the upper "L" that Bob mentioned. Later, I remade the two side panels for appearance. This is how I can best recall what I did. It's been a very long time ago.

Jerry,

I am having the exact same problem with my torque tube install.  How did you solve this?  Did you do what Bob suggested?

Thanks,

Brad

It was the same on my CH750. Go to my page on this site and look for pictures of the problem and how I solved it. Install the bearing support angle side for smooth bearing operation. The top baggage console holes will need to be drilled approx. 10mm aft of the set pre-drilled in top of the console. Install a new higher mounted "L" on the torue tube bearing bracket and drill them out. Fill the factory holes with empty rivets.
