Attached the main landing gear. Have several questions. Asked Zenith.
1. The drawings and assembly manuals describe 2 styles of installing the main gear support - the vertical edge inward and the vertical edge outward. Does it matter from the structural point of view?
2. When the supports are installed the vertical edge out the trimming in the drawings makes sence. If it is installed the edge out - the trimming looks useless.
3. When installing the edge in the support touches the back longeron. How to clear?
4. I screwed the nut almost to the end. There are about 2mm left. But the assembly is not tight. The light areas you can see on the picture are the rivet heads. Is it ok?
Zenith ansrwers:
It does not matter which side to install the main gear supports - the edge inwards or outwards. The trims should not touch the longerons. Tighten the nuts and everything should be fine.
