The conventional wisdom is that there's not much point in pursuing higher hp engines since the 750 has such a high-drag airframe and that it takes a nearly exponential increase in hp to see any significant speed increases. The weight increase of that engine is going to take a serious whack out of useful load vs a 100 hp Rotax or a 120 hp Jabiru..
That being said, it would be fun if someone challenges the "conventional wisdom" and stuffs one in a 750 and see what happens! Not out of the realm of possibility - someone has even built a turbine 701!!!

I agree, the cruise speed is limited but I'm looking for better takeoff/climb numbers.
It looks like the 912is with an Airmaster should work well. At least if you're going to cruise slow, it won't cost you much and you should have short takeoffs!
