As with all aircraft decisions, the primary choice is governed by "What is your mission?"  Both are great to fly as far as the fun factor, but the STOL 750 is just that - a STOL airplane. If you anticipate operations from turf, unimproved surfaces, and fly a lot of "low and slow," etc., then you'll likely want the STOL 750. If you're going to operate from a paved municipal runway and likely going to cruise to other paved runways most of the time, you'll want the Cruzer and enjoy the higher airspeeds.

Now, to confuse you a bit, the Cruzer's cabin will be more comfortable/wider if you install the bubble doors from the STOL 750, but it'll add a little drag and cost a little airspeed. If you really want the Cruzer but anticipate a lot of turf operations, you might delete the wheelpants and smaller wheels and install the STOL 750's bigger wheels and tires, but again it might cost you a bit of airspeed. Another "hybrid" option is what I fly - a STOL 750 with deleted slats (8 kt airspeed gain and 14 lb useful load gain), Stolspeed VG's, and 600 series tires rather than 800. Comfortable, a little faster, and still good STOL ability.

Diane's right-on: you really ought to get some demo rides to help with your decision!
