Before I begin rebuilding the damaged wings I have on the ch701 I just purchased. I thought I'd check to see if anyone had some wings hanging in there garage.

I have a horizontal stabilizer and elevator with VGs from a hard landed 2013 701 (220hrs) that I recently purchased. No damage to these parts. I also have a complete rudder that has never been flown.  The wings and fuselage from the 701 were not usable. I am moving the engine, controls, etc. over to a partial kit that had a complete tail setup. If you have an interest let me know.

Located in central Missouri about 45 min from Zenith plant

I would like to stop and pick up/buy any parts you will not need that I can use. I also need the foot controls as mine were broken. and engine mount bolts, brackets, radiator etc. My engine was removed before I bought my plane and I just got a Rotax 912 80hp ;but I only have oil tank, oil cooler. and engine bed mount type but missing dynafocal brackets and bushings. also need a part for a brake pad bracket.

I will be using all the engine, control parts and all the landing gear (brakes) in my build. I do have some partial flaps that could be reused and one slat that could be easily repaired. The 701 I am parting had 4 wing tanks (40 gal) that are not damaged and were drained right after the accident that could be reused. I plan on putting only one tank (20 gal) back in the new wings. Give me a call and we can discuss the parts.

Jim

Sorry I haven't called you yet I have been busy.
Do you have brackets that connect engine to the bed mount? Also need foot pedals, radiator, newer style doors would be nice. A propeller. Newer style landing gear (the 6 foot wide spring between the 2 tires)?

I do not have any engine connecting brackets, foot pedals, radiator or doors......will be using these parts for my build. I do have an extra newer style main landing gear spring that came with the original kit from Zenith. It is used and, like any of these used gear, it is probably a little wider than spec but appears very usable.  It does not have any brakes or axles or wheels on it.

I have a rudder, 3 flap sections and damaged horizontal stab.
I do need the outer left flap. Do you have brackets that connect engine to the bed mount? Also need foot pedals, radiator, newer style doors would be nice. A propeller.

We have a vertical fin, horizontal stab. and elevator from a partially completed kit that was donated to a non-profit.  They are located at the St. Joseph, MO Rosecrans airport.  If interested, call me and we will arrange a good price.

Are you still looking for wings and tail for a 701 ?

Bob

Have everything accept the wings. Sort of. I feel confident repairing the minor damage to my tall pieces but with the wings I would like to just bolt on some never before damaged wings. Getting closer to seeing daylight under the wheels. Just stalled all summer with the kids home from school. Will hit or hard this winter.
Ricky
One thing to consider is that there is a risk that a wing built by someone else may not fit the attachment points of the aircraft you purchased. If the distance between fore and aft mount points on the wing you buy is longer (and minimal) you may be able to shim, but if not, or if shorter, you have some time consuming rework to do on the wing to achieve proper fitment. Before buying I recommend you ask for the seller to provide that distance to you so you can compare it to your fuselage.

Great info Jim. I would hate to drive from Iowa to Texas just for a headache. If nothing easy comes up I will repair my own wings this winter. I have the metal already anyway.
