Where have yall placed your oil cooler? is it optimal or do you wish you placed it somewhere different?

Hi David,
I have a 3000 cc Corvair in a STOL 750 and I used the heavy duty cooler with the WW gold oil system and mounted the cooler in the Wiesman baffle kit the way WW recommends and it works great.
I've got a 3100cc, and I've worked out a way to use two of the folded fin coolers in the stock position. I should be flying it this weekend, if I can get the parts from AircraftSpruce to finish my primer circuit.
You need to go to William Wynne's website https://flycorvair.net/ and read everything there. There are hundreds of articles that you need to come up to speed on. I assure you, all of this is covered in detail along with so many things that would not occur to anybody new to this activity. Everyone needs to know this stuff so you do not become an inadvertent test monkey.
Get his publications also. They discuss why it has to be done in a certain way.
