Kit, as in homebuilt/assembled?

Homebuilt 701. Should be ready for the d.a.r. in a few months.

No, I meant the AOA kit. Are you looking for something you build or assemble at home? The one's I know of right now interface with an EFIS, but I imagine there are some independent ones out there somewhere.

A stand alone kit is what I am looking for. I can build it. Many require an installed system to piggy back off of, not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks, I will look at them.

OnSpeed is an open source AOA system.  You build the components and it hooks into your audio system or an EFIS.

He's looking for a standalone system.

And now I see Gen 2 can use a standalone display. Gen 1 didn't, which is why I didn't mention them. OnSpeed is the leading open source project. Thanks, Scott.

Hi Charles,

Search for plans for the Lift Reserve AOA. This is standalone and pneumatic only - KISS. I use a Dynon pitot that has the AOA orifice. You can also make the angled probe out of aluminum. The readout gauge is a differential pressure gauge from Dwyer. I tested this mounted to my truck at different angles of attack and it works well. Now getting ready to fly my Zodiac 650B
