Hi Thomas,
what brand prop are you running?
Hi thomas,
Viking engines sells a spacer block for the nose strut.
Take a look at their website,
best,
michael.
Thanks Michael for your reply and info ,had a look at the Viking site, unfortunately my nose leg fork has a flat top and is made up of two overlapping parts being attached to the nose leg at the bottom with six bolts, their metal bungee looks very interesting so might invest in one if it has zenith approval
Best Regards,
Thomas
Seems to me you'd get more clearance by lengthening the nose gear and leaving the mains as-is. Also. Jon Humberd lengthened a nose fork with some bolt-on extensions between lower ends of fork and the axle.

Many thanks John for your reply and info

An inch or two might not matter but bear in mind if you leave the main gear stock height raising the nose increases your wings’ angle of incidence. This can induce some unfavorable characteristics during the takeoff and landing roll. If you proceed take measurements before and after and keep the same nose to main height ratio. Perhaps bigger main tires would be a way to keep the ratio and help with overall ground clearance too. But then the aircraft weight increase needs to be accounted for. The reason I asked about your prop is another way to do his would be a smaller diameter prop setup.
Come to think of it a prop change may place you back into Phase 1 flight test..
Thank you John and Amelia great information on the pros and cons of any possible decisions ,really appreciate your input
Thomas
Thank you John for taking the time to find that photo for me much appreciated, plenty of food for thought
Thomas
Thomas,
Installed the spacer from Viking on my Cruzer. No complaints. Have not hit my prop since. Prior I had two props trimmed by Sensenich. Some runways are just smoother than others. Does it change angles, yes, does it matter, not enough to get excited about.
