Richard, I built the "Dave Clay" brake which you can see on my log at www.mykitlog.com/sunmanav8.

Hi Richard and Debbie,

I live in Florence, and fly from the old Army Air Field at Courtland (Lawrence County Airport).

Good luck on your 650 project, I am sure you will enjoy the experience. I considered building from a kit, but chose to buy a SLSA  because of time restraints.

I love flying the Zodiac!

Regards,

Aaron

Hello Richard & Debbie,

Thank you for the welcome.  I (think) I have accepted you into my friends list although I am not sure how this site and all of it's functions and areas work.  To clarify I have just ordered the plans (Monday) so I am still a ways off from building.  Will let you know the progress when I figure all this out.

Thank you! I am exicted to get started. Still waiting for the plans in the mail. That is my Christmas present to ME!

Thanks for welcoming me to the community.  I'm psyched to get started.  Time to get the garage organized!

I found a local supplier for all of my aluminum needs with prices that seem competitive. Had not heard of The Yard but added their link to my favorites for consideration; looks like a great resource - thanks. I like the brake that Larry Winger built on his bench which looks similar to other designs I've seen other scratch-builders using. Have you built one yet?

Hello Richard. I just received my plans this week and am also collecting tools. Most recent acquisitions are: Drill press and sander from Craig's List and band saw at garage sale. Just purchased a Bosch combo router from Lowes. Planning to build 4x12 bench then purchase some aluminum to get started. Am excited but apprehensive all at once. It's going to be a long journey.
