What does "MWO" on a factory pick list mean?

This should be a super easy thing to figure out...  but web searches and even trying an AI assistant failed for me.Zenith pick lists have rows that list a part, description, quantity, and then a space for checking off whether it was shipped or not -- but some of those "Shipped" spaces state "MWO".See More

Ivoprop on 912 - no engine damage after full-power crash

Just a brief note here on one odd little advantage of having an Ivoprop, an inexpensive but also less efficient prop that some fancier ones. A Rotax mechanic I know  just did a crankshaft & gearbox inspection on a 912UL (no slipper clutch) from a 601 that crash landed in a corn field under full power, in a takeoff accident, coming to a stop with a ground run of under 100 ft, wiping out the gear and splintering the prop into chunks of carbon fiber and its foam core.(The Ivoprop is a lot less…See More

C-GZDC registration available

In case any Canadians are looking for a new registration, ZDC (ZoDiaC!) is available. It had been assigned to my dad's plane. Transport Canada has just confirmed the cancellation, although it is possible it might still take time to propagate through the system. (A few parts from the 601 HDS being parted out are still available in the classifieds. 1980s Zenair brochures

I thought with Chris Heintz's passing, I would dig out the earliest Zenair brochures I could find, roughly back from the mid to end 1980s. Those old black and white advert flyers of Chris' are pretty crude but they showed off his range of planes.…

Peter, I had almost forgotten about writing those articles. I not only installed the 1080 bungee but only installed ONE bungee on each of the main gear of my CH 601 HD. That eliminated the STIFF gear situation and provided a better ride. I just replaced the nose gear bungee for the second time in 20 years -  800 hrs. I plan to replace the main gear single bungees at my annual condition inspection this month. I operate normally on paved runways ( on grass once in a while ), but don't know what that may have to do with the service I've gotten. I'm satisfied with operating with a single 1080 on each main gear.
