I haven't posted in quite awhile. I am working at a very slow pace due to time constraints and perfectionism. I have lots of updated photos to show.

Recently, the trusty 912S in my 701 has been, well, not that trusty. The symptoms started subtly about a year ago, with slight difficulty starting. Used to be, you couldn't count the blades before the thing sprang to life. Now I was counting 6 or 10 seconds, and having to mess with various combinations of throttle and choke - probably because the lack of immediate start was causing flooding.

After flying my  HDS for 10 and half years, decide to upgrade the instrument panel in order to relieve some COVID fatigue.  Purchased an inexpensive CNC router to make the cutouts and learned to use the software to make the drawings and generate the GCODE.

I am trying to find information on how to properly set the flaperon position. I have recently completed a set of high strength turnbuckles to assist in the setting process. I have looked through all the documentation I have and can't find any pictures or angle information, maybe I am too OCD but I want to get this correct. I ordered the landing light kit for the 750 and started looking for instructions on how to install it. I found a few examples of what the final product looked like but nothing like what I needed as a VERY armature builder. This Introduction shows the new format, which uses 3 cameras to film the construction and shows off the workshop. Once construction starts, in a few weeks, the work will be live streamed. It's always an exciting day when you just get to rivet! Assembled the elevator for the final time. These are the days that make me want to invest in a pneumatic riveter, I think I will for the fuselage. 

The stabilizer was finished my junior year in college, will just tack rivet elevator for now.

Finished up the empennage and the slats and the flaperons. Was doing some research on Alan Shepard and relate some imperfections to a dispute between Alan and Werner Von Braun about whether Freedom 7 was ready to go or not.
