I keep telling all the locals that it’s Bob Mac Donald who is sending all the geese to eastern Pennsylvania. Coming home from the last fly in the flock that flew past me where honking in French, I must be mistaken; they may be coming from Quebec.…

Hi All
I am planning to replace the old style gauges in my CH601XL-B with a complete Dynon Skyview System including Autopilot and Dynon Angle of Attack probe.
I found a couple of examples of installing the autopilot servo's in a CH601XL, which is a big help.
But I do have a few other questions:
Question 1
I am not sure where to put the ADAHRS unit in a CH601/CH650. I like to avoid re-inventing the wheel. Maybe there is someone out there who has…

This VW ad from 1966 has become a classic and can still be seen in VW dealerships across the country. The above is prominently on display as a large framed poster in a shiny new VW dealer in St. Louis. While the cars have changed since 1966, the basic message remains the same.
Like the VW Beetle, the ad copy has become a classic too. It caught my attention…

Now have flown off the forty hour Phase One Testing. All in all a very benign experience. No real supprises except for the first couple of takeoffs being soooo quick.
Also have done first condition inspection and the Rotax 25 hour checks (100 hour check) with no problems.
Experienced no cooling problems with temps this summer in OATs as high as 98 F. Engine is Rotax 912ULS with Zenith FWF kit.
Have installed the Zenith VG's and have plenty of elevator authority. My…

I have used up all of the .016 through .040 material I had on hand making miscellaneous parts, (270 parts so far). I laughingly call this method my plans built quick build kit figuring at the rate I am going in 3-5 years I'll would have enough parts to quick build an airframe.
I will be ordering the material for wing and center spars next week. Here are a couple

Hi All,
I have bought the plans to and still in the process of finding out all the relevant info on constructing the ch 750.
My question is in relation to specific Aluminium grades the plans call for the use of 6061 T6 or 2024 T3 etc. Does anyone know if they can be substituted for 5083

I'm looking ahead to engine installation details - most likely for a Lyc O-235. (Yes, I know they are a bit heavier, etc., but I am familiar with Lyc engines and prefer to go this route.)
Seeking any advice on:
Engine mount - purchase or self built?
Cowling - will a CH601 fit ? (I have read that the 601/750 firewalls are the same size/shape.)
Cowling mounting arrangements - screws into the firewall flange?
Carb location - this varies with model # on other…

I just bought a partly started 801 kit. I am interested to know if anyone has built an 801 with folding wings and if anyone has built an 801 as a taildragger?
Thanks

CH601 Zodiac XL – B FOR SALE $ 52,500.00
Aircraft has not been registered or inspected.
You are purchasing an uncompleted kit.
51% does not apply as the original kit owner purchased and built the entire airframe. He had kept a log book of his construction. The original kit owner also installed the engine and avionics.
All structural upgrades have been completed at Flight Crafters.
Some minor work needs to be completed and…

Are there many of you who have folding wings on your 750's? Im wondering if they are a good option to build into the plan? I have the blueprints for them just wondering if they work well.

Hi. Wondering if its easier to buy zinc chromate in spray cans, or if I should buy the gallon? Do you brush it on or spray it on? Also If I want to prime only mating surfaces is one gallon gonna be enough for a 750? Any help would be great.
I know I ask alot of questions, and im sure there will be 100's more but I can give you guys my social # so you can claim me as a dependent If I get to needy :)

has anyone had any trouble with the 601 fuel system losing prime if it sits for a while ?
I have had an issue with a 601 standard arrangement just like the plans call for . The line goes to the center counsel from the wings and then up to the fuel selector then down to the gasculator
i had the 601 sit for few weeks and then couldnt get it started , wich was strange becouse the 3300 usually fires right up , i tried to drain the gasculator and the fuel didnt come out at a steady…

I've been looking for rubber boots to use on the Zenith 601 steering arms. It has been difficult to find an off-the-shelf product due to the narrow profile. I finally found something that is a near perfect fit on my HDS. It can be purchased from JB-Custom Fabrication on E-bay. This particular boot is used on certain Jeep models for the twin shifters. It costs around $22.00 plus shipping. Good news is you only need to buy one and carefully cut it in half. The following steps describe…

On my flight from Idaho to Prineville, my #3 CHT was running high. I had modified the system for diverting air, the left side was running well, so I went back to my original system on the right side. Still need to do some tweaking, but I'm happy with the numbers. The original diverters were made of fiberglass and I'm trying to recreate using aluminum to increase…

I'm building a CH650 with the taildragger option. Can I expect the empty CG to be more forward, aft or the same compared to a comparable equipped nosewheel CH601/650?
I can probably calculate the difference if I had accurate weight numbers for the nosewheel assembly. I would assume the same weight for the mains, just a different moment arm.
Any info will be greatly appreciated!
