Attending Oshkosh 2014? Bulletin Board and List
Seems that there's going to be a pretty good Zenith crowd at Oshkosh this year, and quite a few first timers. I thought I'd put out a thread where those attending could list their name, if they flew in, etc, and a means for us to contact them at Oshkosh if they wanted. For those that have been to Oshkosh, maybe we could answer questions that all first timers have and even seasoned attendees have, and steer them and others to the best restaurants, (The Roxy Supper Club) the "secret" parking areas (by the ultralight field) the cheapest breakfast, (by the ultralight field) pilot friendly drinking establishments, (classified) etc.
Though it's a little late, if anyone needs a hotel or room they could also hook up at the last minute on this site and find a place, since they are all booked up. Also rides, etc, anything a Zenith builder may be looking for or need, I'm sure someone could help with. I'll try to maintain the list as people add to it. I won't put your phone number in the discussion if you leave it in the reply as a way for someone to contact you at Oshkosh.

I'll be the first to reply, since I have an available room. I have booked a room in the Waterfront Best Western Tue the 29th thru Sat, Aug 2nd. It's a pretty choice hotel, 5 mins away from OSH on the river, and it has two queens and I only need one of them. Anyone need a room that interested in sharing?

I'll be there in a rented RV America motorhome. I'm not able to pick it up until Sunday the 27th, so I'll likely be there early on Monday. I'm planning on staying until Friday the 1st at the ultralight camping with Jesse Hartman and his gang.

Patricia Mawuli and I will be there all week. We use the Rotax 912iS powered CH701 for humanitarian purposes in Ghana, West Africa (the first Zenith to fly with the 912iS!). We will be around the One Week Wonder as much as possible (since we are still trying to get our CAA to approve it in Ghana - and our near completed 801.... but if you want to talk about getting approvals, CAAs and FAAs (Campaigns Against Aviation and Folks Aggressing Aviators), we could bore you for hours - but we prefer to talk about Building, Engineering, FLYING and using Zenith STOL Aircraft to change lives.
