Any suggestions on good placement/mount of a fire extinguisher in a 750? With the mount it came with, we're thinking that up against the pilot seat base may be our best location, but curious if there's a better location or mount we hadn't thought of?

There is a recess behind my passenger seat, formed by where the floor steps up to the baggage floor. Since I don't have sliding seats, I can easily reach down behind the passenger's seat, flip the catch, and remove the extinguisher. The only downside I see is if I had the baggage area completely full (unusual for me!), then that might impede access and I've always been mindful of access if I am packing quite a bit behind the seat. However, I can also reach down from the front between the gap between the seat cushion and seat-back cushion and access it that way. (Usually if the baggage area is full then I don't have a passenger!). The plus, of course, is that it is out-of-the-way and not subject to being kicked or dislodged, etc. Your proposed location sounds good, but I have the dual sticks and that's not as good a spot for me with that setup.

Thanks John. Being that we have the Y stick, our preference is to be able to reach with the left hand, which certainly limits its location. We were also thinking about using the lightening hole under the seat, but that may be more difficult than it sounds.
I have a Y stick and my fire extinguisher mounted as you are thinking and it works fine for me. It is not in the way at all.
Thanks Vance. I suspect that's where it'll end up, but first wanted to see what others were doing.
I have always mounted my fire extinguishers within easy reach below the pilot's seat. In the CH750 STOL, I believe that would be on the forward face of the left side of the seat channel (75F11-1).
On my 172, I fabricated a bracket and secured it to the bottom of the seat frame with four Adel clamps.
Hi, where did you finally end up mounting your fire extinguisher in your 750? Do you have a pic?
Cheers,
Dave
Super thanks! Looks like the right spot!
You're super welcome. Not shown is that we turned the strap around so it releases by lifting up.
