Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Hello all,
I am scratch building a 650b, using as much salvageable material from a wrecked 601HD that I acquired. There is a whole lot of bent, creased, or just too small to usespieces laying around taking up space. I also have a box of trimmings and small cut-offs from making parts. Where do you guys dispose/recycle these pieces? I'm sure any metal recycler would take them, but most of them are clear across town.
Do you guys just drop them off, or do you try to get some $ back for the scrap value?
Thanks,
Ian

Your local dump should have a drop off area for scrap metal, appliances, tire rims, etc. When I finished my 750, I took about 15 lbs of scrap to my local metal recycler, got about 25 cents per pound as I recall, barely worth the effort but at least it did not end up in a landfill. Good luck!
