After flying my HDS for 10 and half years, decide to upgrade the instrument panel in order to relieve some COVID fatigue. Purchased an inexpensive CNC router to make the cutouts and learned to use the software to make the drawings and generate the GCODE.
Was able to clean up some wiring and remove unnecessary instruments. Still getting used…

On the night of August 11th at about 9:30 PM a strong storm hit the Chandler Airport. 30 planes were damaged or destroyed. Aircraft parts were littering the ramp. I saw radios, fiberglass wing tips, seat belts, nose gear with wheel, etc. One of the flight schools lost all 6 planes that it had stationed at KCHD. One was thrown about 50 yards and over a fence into the parking lot.
Several of the planes still had the tie down chains attached to their wings. Either the…

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the information on the VG's. After reading your comments and info from other pilots I will give this serious consideration over the winter.
Regards,
Karl
Thanks! It's great to find more local Zodiac builders and pilots!
I am looking for some local flying clubs to get more active in the east valley area. CHD, FFZ, Pegasus...
Any thoughts?
Mark
Hello, Jerry
A while back (September?) you got a set of Azusa tires.
How has been your experience so far?
Cheers
Carlos
Hi Jerry,
If the camera is mounted on the rudder - are you running a cable all the way from your headset jack, out the canopy and to the camera mounted on the rudder? Do you have a picture of this set up? Thanks for the info on the polishing. After the holidays is fine...I am at my hangar a lot during the weekends. I can also be out there during the week any time with advance notice. I am lucky enough to work from home and for the most part, set my own hours. I will be gone from Jan 13-19 though on business. Would love to meet up before then.
Steve
Hey Jerry...
Had fun flying to SEZ today. Was the flight out as uneventful as we hoped?
I reached out to the APA president (Jim Tims) and he has a Jab 3300 in his plane.
Do you knowthe guys name or contact info in Fountain hills?
Steve
Congratulations on the first flight! I learned a lot from my visit with you last winter and your plane was well done! Have a wonderful time flying off those hours!.
