I would not call this video exciting, but I'm starting a new YouTube series to document the building of my Zenith CH750 Cruzer. This Introduction shows the new format, which uses 3 cameras to film the construction and shows off the workshop. Once construction starts, in a few weeks, the work will be live streamed. Each day of work will then be compressed into time lapse at 60 times normal speed. I am not trying to become YouTube famous, just document the entire process of building a…

It's always an exciting day when you just get to rivet! Assembled the elevator for the final time. These are the days that make me want to invest in a pneumatic riveter, I think I will for the fuselage.
The stabilizer was finished my junior year in college, will just tack rivet elevator for now.
Rudder I'm holding was finished by my granddad at the Zenith factory in 1993.…

I have decided on my color scheme and have already ordered my paint. Going with a commemorative L4 Grasshopper. I am looking for a supplier of Leather seat coverings. Any suggestions?

Last year I graduated college, and moved to Oregon to start my aerospace engineering career (as an avionics engineer). Been instructing a lot, especially after finishing my CFI-I. BUT I finally have the whole kit here, and make time for it most days. Nice to have it close by and easy access.
I got the wings to about 75% done in high school and college breaks. Finished most of the fail feathers in college. I'm just about to install the trim servo in the elevator, and close it…

Bought my kit in 2008 or 2009, but never built it. 11 years later, two moves, a broken back, a broken rib, four surgeries and another soon to come, we now live in an airpark and my hangar is finally going up. Of course, if I had a trophy case, it would be full of gold medals for procrastination, but we can overlook that for now. Should be building fairly soon if my medical status allows. My wife says after all we've gone through to get here, she'll kill me if I don't build this plane. So…

Finished up the empennage and the slats and the flaperons. Was doing some research on Alan Shepard and relate some imperfections to a dispute between Alan and Werner Von Braun about whether Freedom 7 was ready to go or not.

Hi All, I recently acquired a partial started CH 300 but have not been able to track down a Builders Manual. Does anyone have a manual that I could buy or borrow. Looking forward to your replies, Bob

After working on my 701 for five years I received an air worthy certificate on my 72nd birthday! Since I am not a pilot I am looking to friends to fly off the 40 hours and then the plan is to learn to fly in the 701. Have enjoyed building the 701 and looking forward to learning to fly it.
My 701 was built with longer wings (similar to 750), a longer horizontal and elevator, raised top window, divorced elevator control and a four position flap control. I did not install slats but plan…
