I'v been thinking of building a plane for years and just bought the plans for a 701 and have spent more time printing every thing out ,and trying to decide what to build and what to buy ? well the rudder kit sayes it takes about 12 hours and testing the waters with junk I had laying around from scratch I built a 100%mockup of the rudder in less time then the 12 hr for the kit and this included cuting the forming blocks and fabercating the part's assembly was the shortist time (note) this is…

We are trying to install the Ray Allen position sensor for the flap. We have the linear motor and the Ray Allen sensor which moves 1.2 inch. Has anyone out there installed this combination, and could you share a description and pictures? We know the flap arm travels 52mm but the sensor only travels 30mm.
We have the wiring ok to the panel indicator.

Reality TV is for sissies. Honestly, I have seen these programmes of 'challenges' in remote areas - they are really not reality at all... IF you want reality, you have to spend some time amongst the real life challenges that West Africa has on offer - in abundance, raw and ready to make you question the 'necessities' that we all take for granted - after all, YOU have power and a computer in front of you - and they work, as does your internet connection.... so that is a…

I've been too busy building to bother adding posts! Anyways, cut out the skin, drilled, made the front and rear supports, clecoed the skin back on, marked out the front slot and slots for front supports, took the skin off, cut the slots, deburred everything, painted joint areas with primer and riveted the supports (7H2-6 and 7H2-7, I think they are) into place.
Today I put the skin back on (obviously had to cleco the curved side first, in order to slip over the front supports),…

What I am going to try to do here is generate a list of images of drawings I created in AutoCAD. All the major parts have been laid out for the CH-750 on 4 x 12 sheets representative of the 6061-T6 material needed to scratch build the 750. Most of the parts have been re-drawn from the 750 drawings and some of the more complicated parts have been represented as blocks on the sheets large enough for those parts such as the Cabin Side which is complicated but can be represented by a simple…
